Financial Aid

There is a limited amount of money available for scholarships. Montessori In The Woods awards scholarships based on the availability of funds and family need. It is our policy to assist as many families as possible with partial scholarships; full scholarships are not available. Completed forms must be submitted by April 30th to be considered.

Late Fees

If special circumstances arise that will cause a payment to be late, please contact the school office prior to the due date.

A late fee of $20 will be applied to any payment that is more than two weeks past due. Montessori In The Woods reserves the right to asses a 10% charge per month on any past due balances including tuition, child care, and other fees that are past due by 90 days or more. Delinquent accounts may be turned over to a collection agency, and further fees imposed, if all reasonable attempts to secure payment are unsuccessful.

Montessori in the Woods Scholarships

Each year we have a finite amount of funding available to grant partial scholarships to families that demonstrate need. Please contact the school if you are interested in obtaining an application form.

Open Montessori Initiative

We are pleased to announce a new financial aid scholarship program that is available to our Montessori families. The Open Montessori Initiative (OMI) was created in June 2007 to provide financial aid scholarship money to families in the Montessori community; we encourage you to visit www.Montessori-omi.org to learn more and to download their application.

CCIS

Child Care Information Services of Erie County is an agency that offers parents resource and referral services to connect them with child care arrangements in their communities. The CCIS also provides information to parents about whether they are eligible for help in paying their child care costs. Montessori in the Woods works in conjunction with CCIS to help eligible families pay for childcare. Erie's CCIS is located at 155 West 8th Street Suite # 316. They can be reached by phone at (814)451-6580. An application can be submitted online at: www.compass.state.pa.us.
